Does the Toyota pedal problem affect cars manufactured and sold outside the US?

I bought a Toyota Corolla 2010 in Nicaragua and the cars sold here are manufactured in Japan. I heard the recall only happened in the U.S. Should I be worried?

    You should not ignore it. It seems to be a worldwide problem.

    Of course it does! They’re recalling Toyotas, Peugeots and Citroens made in the Czech republic having the same problem. Add to it the recall in People’s China.

    Tees me off that they’re telling us there’s no problem with Toyota Vios here in the Philippines.
